Quarantine 20/20

Trails End Fishing Camp

2020, I like to call it hindsight 20/20! It makes me feel like putting things in perspective and viewing it thru a lens. What a time it has been…

I left Naples late in 2019 to fulfill my real-life dream adventure… I left my career in the government field to pursue my passion of traveling. I have been a picture taker ever since I can remember, and the thought of taking pictures while seeing this country, made me feel like a sweepstakes winner!!!

In the midst of it all , I came back to Naples to receive my first and most precious niece, Leilani (heavenly flower) which gave me a whole new being inlove feeling,… I was present the moment that she entered this world and cut the umbilical cord. Wow, wow, wow… What a miracle that is!!! …To see this little human take her first breathe and open her eyes for the first time, What an experience!…

Things happened, and well I had to stay a little longer…I saved some money and decided to take some time to visit my friends that live around the world and return when I was ready to reenter the workforce. “Feel the freedom” I said to myself…then COVID-19, WTH!… Yikes!

At first, I saw it happening and wasn’t sure of the impact it would have, much less know how we would be affected thru it all. Stores closed, beaches closed, social distancing, no restaurants, no bars, no personal grooming places, stay at home orders.. We went from having freedom, to none at all.  It really does something to your mind when you are told that you can’t do or go to places like you normally did.

My boyfriend, lives on an rv, her name is June Bug. He is a pizza oven mechanic, working on Rotoflex Pizza Ovens. These things can cook over 25 pizzas at a time. He loves what he does and the people he works with. He is quite the star in his field. He eats pizza around the country, and its awesome…Yummy! Even his situation was affected with the pandemic. The uncertainty of the Covid had him seek isolation in nature and I loveeee that.

There is something profound with complete isolation with nature… Trust me, you realize how small you are in this world and how beautiful this planet is. From birds, lakes, trees, flowers, sunsets, gators, to little turtles and squirrels roaming around and coming together independently to create the sweetest movie with the loveliest sound effects. That was my 20/20 quarantine, I took a month of isolation in a piece of heaven. I didn’t see people, we grilled out, played card games and watched sunsets. I can’t tell you how I wish everyone was there with me, but then I am reminded that, everyone indeed was there with me, you always are…Sending you all my love during this time and always <3
